§ 8-4-221. General standards.

(a)

Steel casing pipe shall be butt-welded sheets conforming to the specifications of ASTM designation A-245, commercial grade, or of plate conforming to the specifications of ASTM designation A-283.

(b)

All field joints also shall be butt-welded full circumference or by other means approved by the department. Use of a jacking band to reinforce the end of the pipe receiving the jacking thrust will be required. It shall be the applicant's responsibility to provide joints which are capable of resisting the jacking stresses without failure.
